Terms & Condition

Wherever used herein, the term “equipment” shall include any equipment rented from Wheel Excitement Inc. (called “WEI”). WEI, its agents, servants, and employees shall not be responsible for personal injuries or property damage, loss or delay incurred by any person arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental carrier or other person rendering any of the services or products being offered in these rentals; nor shall WEI be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of transportation or by reasons of any event beyond the actual control of WEI, or of any agent or supplier, or due to force majeure. Renters follow any suggested itinerary at their own risk and agree not to hold WEI responsible for injury or death resulting from accidents.

We strongly recommend the use of approved helmets and a helmet will be provided upon request with bicycle rental.  The bicycles provided for use are in satisfactory operating condition and participants agree to use them at their own risk or call deficiencies to the attention of a company representative. ​Individual bike specifications are subject to change based on availability of replacement components. Instruction in the use, assembly and maintenance of bicycles will not be provided and participants affirm that they are competent and familiar with the use of a multi-speed bicycle.

Booking and Payment
A payment of a 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. Please note that the balance is due in full the day of your rental. If your rental is within 2 days (48 hours) of your start date, your deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellation
Deposits will be refunded for all cancellation made no later than 2 days (48 hours) prior to your rental booking. There are no refunds after this date. All cancellations must be received in writing or via confirmed email.

NON-REFUNDABLE

Deposits of rental reservation cancelled 2 days (48 hour) or less prior to the rental pickup time

**All refunds are subject to a service fee of 10% of the total amount paid

RENTAL PICKUP/RETURN

We require a damage and security deposit in the form of credit card pre-authorization.  Any deposit given by the customer may be applied to the balance due and based on the faithful performance of all the provisions of this agreement and all repairs necessary to said equipment.

Bring a credit card for security deposit. **The actual card must be present**

We will pre-authorize the card for each bicycle rental; the amount is based on the type of bicycle:

  • $150, standard bicycle
  • $500, family/cargo bicycle
  • $2000, E-bike or E-Family/Cargo bicycle

All equipment must be returned directly to WEI during regular store hours.

Renters are responsible for ensuring bikes are returned to our store location during regular operating hours.

LATE RETURN FEE:
An additional day’s rental fee will be charged for each day the customer keeps equipment beyond the day the rental is scheduled for return:

Rates for additional days:
$20 per day, per bike for non-electric touring bikes
$50 per day, per bike for E-bikes

MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND RESPONSIBILITY
Although all our bikes are professionally serviced before dispatch, bicycles may mechanical issues such as a tire puncture; repair of mechanical issues during the rental are may be made by the renter or return the bicycle to our store for to make the repair or a replacement rental. Any repair made during the rental by the renter, will be carried out at the renter's expense.  Any deficiencies must be communicated to WEI upon receipt of the bicycle or as soon after as reasonably possible.

WEI is not responsible for the following occurrences during bike rental:  
gear tune ups / punctures / broken spokes / broken chains / broken derailleurs / wheel rim damage / torn saddles / stripped threads on pedal crank / damage beyond the control of WEI and resultant of rider use or misuse.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE OR LOSS
Customer agrees he/she will return the equipment in the same good condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear accepted, and to repair and replace lost or stolen, damaged or broken bicycles or parts or to reimburse WEI for said equipment. Therefore, regardless of the party at fault, customer understands and agrees to be responsible for the theft or damage to said equipment.

SUB-RENTING PROHIBITED
Customer understands and agrees that any sub renting of equipment is prohibited and that any such sub rent shall immediately cause termination and cancellation of this contract.

CUSTOMER LIABILITY
Customer shall assume liability for all damage or loss of to personal property, accident / injury to other persons related to said rental equipment.

TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT:
Customer agrees that WEI has the right to terminate this agreement at any time and retake possession of said equipment.

Privacy
We will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen. If you believe that any information, we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible. We will promptly update any information found to be incorrect.
